ActivityTimeline 7.0 Release Announcement

We are excited to announce the release version 7.0. We’ve made big changes in our product by adding three new modules and many features.

Let’s see what we have got in details:

  • Mobile view for users:
    Implemented a mobile web view to allow regular users to view their tasks and log work. You can find ‘Open on Mobile’ option in your account menu by clicking on your profile icon. Scan a QA code from your smartphone and you will get a link to your mobile version

The Mobile version lets you see the schedule for today or other days, get the list of assigned tasks, change issue status and log work. All first needed options in your smartphone:

  • New Module My Workplace module (Work module):
    It’s a Personal Workspace of an employee where they can see and manage own plan/schedule/progress and log work hours

  • New Module Timesheets module (Track module):
    The Timesheet reports that allows managers to track the work of employees based on work hours logged by team people.
    The big highlight in the timesheets is Approval option.  It can make a big weight if your organization requires to approve worklogs:

All timesheets can be exported in Excel format for your convenience.

  • Create Jira issues through ActivityTimeline – it’s the easiest access to the Jira issue for creating tickets. Just click on users cell or “New Task” button to create a new ticket. You can customize fields for your needs, easy and simple

  • Track dependencies between issues: if you have issues linked as “blocks” or “blocked by” than our system auto highlight blocked issues in case of incorrect schedule. It will help you to track issues more easily and which tickets should be done first in the work process. Teams’ time should be used more effectively

  • Automatically add “Event type name” placeholder into Title on Create Event dialog. You won’t fill in the default event name by yourself

  • Reports improvements:
    • Add column from Jira custom field into “Detailed Worklog Report”
    • Add “Deviation columns” into Issue/Project Progress
    • Do not show violet background on workload in weekly/monthly scopes
    • Added Project filter to “Issue Progress Report”
    • New Project Progress Report
    • Show assignee on events exported into External calendar from Team calendar

  • Vacation Management – every member has a limited amount of vacations. As a manager, you can set a limit of approved vacations each person can take. You will get the notification if this limit is complete

  • Unschedule issue-part, from ‘Manage issue-part’ dialog in just three steps:
    1. click on issue-part;
    2. click on ‘Manage issue-part’ dialog;
    3. delete Start and End dates in wanted issue part.

  • Added Team Manager option in Team. This user as a Team Manager will have more permissions for his team + Import of Team Managers from Tempo is available as well

The next number of features will simplify your use of ActivityTimeline:

  • Configurable displaying of issue/event cards – on click or mouse over on your choice
